1. Who are Big Bus Tours?

Big Bus Tours is the largest operator of open-top sightseeing tours in the world, providing sightseeing tours in 17 cities across three continents. The current portfolio includes Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Chicago, Dubai, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas, London, Miami, Muscat, New York, Paris, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Shanghai, Vienna and Washington DC. Tours are provided on open-top double decker buses with English commentary or with a choice of different languages in some destinations. Each tour is carefully designed to showcase the best of the city's landmarks, and you may use Big Bus Tours' famous hop-on, hop-off facility to explore.


2. What will I gain from the Tour?

The tour will enable you to travel around the city and visit the places that interest you. Our tour routes are carefully designed to show you the key landmarks and attractions in each city and your entertaining commentary will explain the city’s history, geography and culture. You’ll also have some great photo opportunities, enabling you to take an understanding and memory of the city with you.


3. What does the tour include?

Your ticket generally gives you 24hr or 48 hr access to all the services we operate in the city of your choice. Each tour is tailored to its location city. For example, some tours include a river cruise, walking tours and even entrance to local attractions. Please select a city for more details.


4. How long does the tour last?

This is very much up to you. A single city circuit may take 2-3 hours, but you can hop-on hop-off at any of the stops that interest you. Your ticket is generally valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time you start your tour.


5. Do I have to book in advance?

No, you are welcome to buy tickets on the day, though buying in online in advance may enable you to benefit from a discount.


6. Where can I buy a ticket?

You can buy a ticket online, where you could benefit from a discount, from any of our on-street sales staff or at many hotels within the cities we operate.


7. How should I pay for my ticket?

If you purchase your ticket online you can pay buy credit or debit card. If you purchase your ticket on the day at one of our locations you can pay by cash or credit card.


8. Do I have to specify a date for joining the tour?

If booking online you have the option of purchasing fixed or flexible date. If you purchase a fixed date ticket you must take the tour on that specific day. If you purchase an flexible ticket you can take the tour on any day. Your ticket is valid from the time you first board the bus.


9. Where can I join the tour?

You may start the tour at any of the bus stops on our routes. Please see maps page for more information.


10. What time are your first and last buses?

Generally, our first buses depart between 08:30 and 09.00 in the morning. Last bus times vary depending on the time of year.


11. What is the frequency of your tours?

Our tours have regular departures throughout the day. Depending on the time of year and location, buses run every 10 to 30 minutes.


12. Can I hop-on and off between live and language tours?

Yes, live guided and language tours are interchangeable.


13. How will I know where to get off?

All our stops are detail on our maps. Please see our maps page for more information. On the live commentary tours our guides will inform you about the stops. On a recorded tour the commentary will include advice on all of our stops.

15. Can children travel on their own?

No, children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.


16. What is the child policy?

Generally children under 4 or 5 may travel free of charge depending on the city. To qualify for child ticket, generally children must be aged between 5 and 15 years.


17. Do you offer group discounts?
